Syndicating my photos with Corbis, I photographed dozens of Hollywood celebrities as they arrived at the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Here’s a small sample including Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos, Emma Stone, Hilary Swank, Jeff Bridges and his wife Susan, Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James, Kate Beckinsale, Pete Docter, Peter Fonda, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Downey Jr., Shaun White, Vanessa Hudgens, and Victoria Beckham.

From The Archive- The Dark Horses Theater Group With Kate Noonan
The Dark Horses Theater Group with Kate Noonan on the right. This was taken for the late, great Los Angeles Reader Magazine just around 1995 if I remember correctly. Very cool assignments and I was given total creative freedom. Don’t ask me how I lit it- with a lot of gels obviously and multiple heads. I do remember it was shot on color neg without a polaroid so I had to meter everything and hope for the best. Contrast that with digital today and how easy it is to check your lighting/set-up along the way. I also remember this was the first and last time I have photographed somebody breathing fire.

Lateral thinking. I get an email from my friend Johnny from Pennsylvania. We met in 2007 when I was in Tulsa covering the Tulsarama time capsule opening of a 1957 Belvedere. I should post some of those pictures one of these days- great stuff. Anyway, remembering the photographer Larry Clark and his 1971 documentary, “Tulsa” which was such a ground breaking piece of work influencing both photographers and movie directors alike. I love the movie Clark directed, Bully (2001). I’ve seen it several times. A great ensemble: Brad Renfro, Nick Stahl, Bijou Phillips, Rachel Miner – and such a fine performance by Rachel Miner. She has a striking presence. Do I have a photo of her?? Yes…

Brangelina No More!?
It’s being widely reported the Hollywood uber couple have separated. Key words from the article: joint custody of their six children, they will keep the money they have each earned, the kids will live with Angelina, Angelina depressed/suicide attempt, and Brad and Jennifer Aniston have been seen together.
