Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) marching bands from Cabrillo, Jordan, Lakewood, Millikan, Poly and Wilson high schools, along with their dance and drill teams performed their award-winning field shows at the 28th Annual High School Band Spectacular this week at Cabrillo High School. Fans of Marilyn Monroe Gather at Her Crypt on the 50th Anniversary of Her Death

Fans of actress and Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe left flowers, photos, and personal letters at the crypt where she is interred at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles to mark the 50th anniversary of her death. Marilyn Monroe was found dead of a drug overdose in her Los Angeles home on August 5, 1962.

Cute Dog Photos! Uggie From 'The Artist' Honored With "Hand Paw Print" Ceremony At Grauman's Chinese Theatre

Uggie, the unbelievably cute dog from the movie 'The Artist' which won an Academy Award for Best Picture, was immortalized yesterday with a "hand and paw" print ceremony(hands... feet... paws... dogs are people, too... aren't they??) at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. My Portrait of Ray Bradbury

I photographed Ray Bradbury at his home in Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Reader Magazine in 1996. While setting up my photo equipment in his backyard, I remember seeing this space seemingly carved out of a wall to his house. I suggested that he stand there for the photo shoot which he thought was a terrific idea.
